Dreaming about becoming a games developer? This course starts you onthe right track by learning how to write real games in a real world gaming platform, Construct. Learn the fundamentals of game mechanics and level design without the need to write scripts.

Game Dev 101 Path
Aracade Space Ship

Build your first 2D game in Construct 3. Learn how to navigate the environment, build a level and add events to make your project work. The first project is a take on the classic arcade game, space-invaders.
Maze Game
3 months
The second game is a multi level maze game. We learn to add mor ecomplex game mechanics such as treasure collection and enemies, a portal to teleport you to the next level and so much more. You will learn more complex events and become more confident with the coding environment.
Platform Game
4 months
The third project is a platform game with multiple enemies, a heads-up display to keep track of your inventory and score, more treasures and even an immunity artifact. Multiple animations for each character and more complex events using conditionals.
Design and Build Your Own Game
4 months
The final project for the year will be a culmination of all our previous learning. Students will plan their own 2D game concept, story line, assets, level layout and game mechanics. Their final project will be published on a popular game marketplace.
